This is the absolutely unique axe's head which was created by high level and rich enough blacksmith in 16th-17th century in Ukraine.
At that period of time the Ukrainian territories were very restless place with permanent wars and invasions of tatar's troops, rebellions against Poland and Lithuanian knights.
So it wasn't time for fun and tomfoolery, in the same time we can see the very high quality labels of old Artist who had time to for art game and creativity.
At that time the axe still was not only the tool, but the real weapon to secure life.
This type of axes names "Kozac" in the name of military troops that was the main striking force of Ukrainian nation.
They were the freebooters of veld and were defenders for one and terrible enemies for other.
They used this type of axe in the protection and in the common life, as weapon and tool.
It was diged out, restored and conservated to prevent further degradation by my and Ivgen hands.
Later Ivgen, in his best and traditional way, made very realistic and in full according to historical period oak handle and decorated it with wild leather stripes and cord, original ancient iron rivets and nails.
This axe could be the personal weapon of kozac's colonel or close level warlord.
