This handmade made and tuned axe with the carved and patinated handle is absolutely functional and can be used as bushcraft tool, in the hunting or fishing camp, and, of course, as the nice decorative element for the country house, boy's room, wine room at cetera.
Hardness of the highcarbon steel 56-57 by Rockwell (HRC).
It's more than enough to hack a hard wood.
Wood for handle- Beech.
It's covered by the patina on the wax basement and finished by the highly persistent wax.
The same wax was used for installation of the head of axe on the handle.
This operation increase the reliability of joint and provide the long period of comfort exploitation of the tool.
